This room is named for the owner of The Stahl House. Marie was Colonel Stahl’s sweet and beautiful wife before he went home to be with the Lord. This room reflects her beauty, elegance and charm.

In The Sweet Marie Room, during spring and summer, you can walk out onto your private balcony and look out at the green of the alpine birch and spruce forest that covers the hills around you. And in the late fall and winter, when the trees have lost their leaves, you can see through them to the wonderful view of the sun glistening off the salt water on the Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet. You will be enthralled with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets you’ll experience here.

You can just relax and let the cares of the day slip away in this large king bedroom. Here you have a writing desk as well, so you can get caught up on writing e-mails and the wish-you-were-here postcards to your friends, family and associates you left behind. And after a hard day’s work or play you can relax in your newly remodeled private bathroom and enjoy the simple luxury of an elegant bath in your deep soaking tub. Your two person tub has a double shower as well. The two rich wooden vanities in this bathroom are toped with black granite and large white porcelain bowls. This room has cable television with a new HD flat panel 32 inch TV and a DVD player if you want to rent a movie. Or you can pick a DVD to watch from their collection. You also have a 4 cup coffee maker. And as in all of The Stahl House, you have a secure Wi-Fi internet connection as well as your own private phone line.
