This room is named Mahogany simply because every piece of furniture here was made of fine, hand crafted and carved mahogany. Even the base board molding and the bathroom cabinet was made of mahogany. The Colonel loved working with wood, so most assuredly he would be very pleased with this room.

It’s the privacy of this room that makes it special. As you look out your window, you’ll see a quiet peaceful scene of birch trees and spruce in the back yard and beyond. This is the only room in the house with a private entrance to the back yard, and there is even a table and two chairs on the deck just for you. You even have a door to your hallway so that you can close yourself off from the rest of the house if you wish.

Here is a place where you can just get away from it all. In this room you have a writing desk and a wall mounted TV with cable in case you want to get caught up with what’s going on outside of this far corner of the world. You also have a DVD player if you want to rent a movie. Or you can pick one to watch from their DVD collection. And after a hard day’s work or play, when it’s time to retire you’ll have an extremely comfortable tall queen pillow topped bed to fall into. Your remodeled bathroom has a single black granite toped vanity with a sunken porcelain bowl. All your fixtures are oil rubbed bronze except in the shower. In the shower you’ll find white porcelain tiles with blue and tan accents, and it’s full size with room enough for two (or plenty of room for one). And as in all of The Stahl House, you have a secure Wi-Fi internet connection, your own private phone line and a 4 cup coffee maker.
