This two room suite is named for the writer Ernest Hemingway because the massive king-sized bed and black marble topped chest in the bedroom are Ernest Hemingway reproductions. The rooms themselves, on the other hand, are named for Colonel Stahl’s two children, David and Anna. So let’s be honest… they probably named it ‘The Hemingway Suite’ because ‘The David and Anna Suite’ sounds a little silly.

These large rooms are painted in a soft light blue and rich deep brown. This suite has a newly remodeled private bath across the hall with two large white porcelain pedestal sinks and a very nice tub and shower. In this suite you have cable television with a new HD flat panel 32 inch TV as well as a DVD player, so you can rent a movie or pick one to watch from their collection. And as in all of The Stahl House, you have a secure Wi-Fi internet connection as well as your own private phone line. In the Hemingway Suite you have a phone in each room.

David's Room / The Bedroom

In David’s room you have the Ernest Hemingway reproduction bed and chest of drawers. The bed is a tall plush pillow top king-sized bed with a massive cushioned head board and foot board, fit for a king or queen. So you’ll get a wonderful night’s sleep and wake up rested and inspired, ready to face the day. This room has a laptop desk and chair as well, so it’s a wonderful place get caught up on writing e-mails and the wish-you-were-here postcards. This is your place to relax in simple luxury.

Anna's Room

Anna’s room is your private den and office in the Hemingway Suite and it’s an ideal complement to David’s room. Here you have an executive office or a den.  This room is not a bedroom and will never be reserved or used for sleeping accommodations, and it will also never be reserved or occupied by anyone else. So you are assured that when you reserve The Hemingway Suite these two rooms are yours and yours alone. You have a large roll top desk, tall table & chairs, a 4 cup coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a large comfortable love seat & autumn. This is your place to get caught up on some work, or you could just relax on your comfortable oversized love seat, prop your feet up on the autumn, and enjoy a good book.
